Bucket list

Thanks Bre,
I got the idea from her blog. I have some things I want to do in the next couple of years, so my bucket list is a tad more realistic then some i saw on the internet. I know there is no way possible I will travel to so many countries, if I could I would in a heart beat.

But creating this list gives me ideas to think outside the box of what I really would like to accomplish. so my goal is to finish the list. As well as things surrounding my health, my time and my future.

I think that's a good way to start 2010.

Just signed up!

I couldn't donate to my girlfriend who is walking for March for Dimes so I joined her team!! I am excited! I like the feeling of contributing and being helpful.

Read her story

"This year I am walking/running for all of my friends that have lost babies to premature labor. I want to spread the word of the march of dimes and help support a great cause.

With my son, I had a very uneventful pregnancy and then when i went 8 days overdue he was not doing good. When I delivered him he wasnt breathing and a shade of dark purple. Luckily the Nicu Team were there and were able to save my little boy. He is a very healthy 2 year old now!

With my daughter, I started having preterm labor at around 25 weeks. I had gone to the hospital so many times and recieved countless shots of Terb to stop the contractions. Thank goodness that she decided to wait until 38 weeks to come. She is a very healthy 1 year old now!

Every day, thousands of babies are born too soon, too small and often very sick. I'm walking in March for Babies because I want to do something about this. And I need your help.

Please support my walk. Making a secure donation is easy: just click the 'donate now' button on this page. Thank you for helping me give all babies a healthy start!

Thank You So Much For Your Donations!!!

XO

Breanna!

The mission of March of Dimes is to improve the health of babies by preventing birth defects, premature birth, and infant mortality."

Please click the banner and help sponsor, anything you give is a lot and nothing is to little.

I just updated this blog today, like the lay out?
If you want one like it, go to the bottom right of my page and click on that link!
She does great work!!
http://aprilshowersfreebie1.blogspot.com/

I wish I would've found her yesterday lol

Last night I made a new blog for my 3 day walk journey!

http://pinkforthecure.blogspot.com/

Check it out and don't forget to friend me! Show your support, I think that is what will help me get through the struggles of a 20 mile walk for 3 days in a row lol

Gabe thinks I am crazy for doing this. I think what's crazy is thinking of ways to fund-raise $2300 on my own!! Now that is crazy, but I won't let that be the thing that stops me! I have plenty of time.

Well off to get kids bathed and dressed, it's going to be a rainy day but they need a good washin lol hahaha

Windsor Pinkettes

Sounds funny right? Well, we are a bunch of moms with a lot of spirit who are making our own team for the Susan Komen 3 day walk in Oct for SF Bay Area. I am excited and ready for some training.

I read an awesome blog today from someone with experience and her knowledge spoke levels of experience. So I called my girlfriend Patty and said "hey, let's do this and we need to start now" I went and maped out the town we live in and figured out what 10 miles of walking would look like. Looks intense but I think we have the will to get it done. I think we will walk it at least once a week starting in March, once cheer is over.

That's it, that's the map!! That is exactly 10 miles!
Arata, Shiloh, Windsor Rd All the main areas of Windsor. I am excited!

I am about to order my training gear in hopes of raising some donations while we are walking. I'd also like ot have more friends join us on this journey.

Onward motion

In the beginning of January after seeing the surgeon my weight was high, really high. I was diagnosed with morbidly obese. My BMI was 40. Today 2 weeks later, I am now 9lbs less then I was two weeks ago.

I am quite proud of myself. I am not dieting, as a matter of fact I had three slices of pizza last night, I think what it is, is that I am more aware of what I eat daily and consume less. I also am more active these days with the kids and working it's really nice. I eat through out the day and my heaviest meal is lunch, ALWAYS!

My goal is to get down to 140 on my own. My New Years Goal, one of them is to take control back of who I was.

New things to come

We went to church today and after mass I was asked to be apart of something big and powerful. I was asked to be apart of the prayer-shawl ministry. I am really looking forward to this experience. As these ladies crochet they pray to the person who will be wearing them. They send prayers to those in need during their struggles, those who are suffering, ill or depressed. There are MANY other reasons to pray for as well.

These ladies aren't from our church but they are in a Prayer Shawl Ministry, look at these beautiful shawls they made.

So I need to read up and see how to even crochet. The last time I did this I was a teenager lol.

I'm doing the challenge!

I am building my team for the Susan G Komen walk Oct 1-3
I am so excited! I know it will be a lot of work but I have always wanted to do it!
Isabel asked if she can too, we will see if she can walk a little with us, but I know she has to be 16 to join the team.

I have to think of a team name...
and how much I want to raise...

I just posted on my facebook to see if anyone wants to join my team. I am really looking forward to doing this. This past Christmas my god mother who officially is my godmother through my confirmation and communion sacraments had surgery to remove her cancer in her breasts. I think I was in more shock then anything, it wasn't something we were told until the day of her surgery. With many thoughts and prayers she is doing good.

I had my own scare this past year too. Everyone knows about the awareness month, well for a while I felt achy in a tata and one day I felt a lump. I went in to see my family practitioner and she felt two of them. It was the scariest day of my life. She said they may be benign but I'd have to go in and have a mammogram, ultra sound and a possible extraction of fluid and tissue. My doctor also said if it was benign to stop drinking caffeine because that's what it could be related to.

I think my appointment was in December when I went to the woman's clinic for my ultra sound. When I was there I was a volunteer to have 2 4D ultra sounds done on my breasts to donate for research. Then I had my scheduled ultra sound, do you know waiting for results was excruciating? Good news was there was only a small cyst found.

WOW! Trying to keep up the optimism

TO GO OR NOT TO GO...

Gabe's boss asked us to move by February. It's not something either of us want to do. We feel our home is in Windsor with our friends, church and schools.

Today is the first day

A lot is changing here in our home. I have a health plan to work this year and one of the steps is to quit smoking.

I am also going to loose weight as well. I have a plan figured out in my head but I won't say so I don't have to jinx me HA! Funny right? I know I can be comical.

Wish me luck! I will need it!

Beautiful YEAR!

It has started off to be an awesome year so far!! I am letting so much go from 2009!! Like the robbery of our home and everything that, THAT messed up. The stress from the wedding and everything that was brought on because of that too.

This year, in 2010 my goal is to be happy! I have a healthy family and I want to spend more time with them being happy! So my philosophy is
